Basic Blackjack Tips
Blackjack, once simply known as twenty-one, is a game that anyone could get into. It doesn't matter if you're a graduate of creative writing or a fine arts course - you only need the most basic of mathematical skills to be able to perform most card counting strategies, after all. You need all the blackjack tips and strategies to make sure that the odds end up on your side. These blackjack tips are necessary as without strategy, luck remains firmly pro-dealer and could cost you more money that you could ever win.
A basic blackjack tip takes a look at the way you manage your bankroll. Any wise gambler knows that their bankroll is their life - the way it is treated reflects a gamblers current status. A simple tip is to look for a table that has a minimum bet which is less than five percent of your blackjack bankroll. This works for a simple reason - it makes sure you have time at the table, to let it ride so to speak. While you should always choose to leave while you're ahead, sometimes getting ahead takes time and having a blackjack table that eats ten or twenty percent of your total bankroll per hand can swallow you up before you get a good read on the deck, the dealer and the game.
The most basic of blackjack tips tell you what the dealer will do. It isn't in any way psychological, like a game of Texas Hold'em, but it is useful as most dealers have pre-determined moves that maximize their average victories. One of their most used rules is to make sure that they have at least an eighteen - if a dealer has less than eighteen, they will hit until they bust or have something equal to or greater than eighteen. This essentially means that having a hand of seventeen or less is mostly pointless as nine times out of ten, it simply won't work. Use this blackjack tip and get ahead of the curve before you drive your bankroll straight off a cliff and into bankruptcy.
These are only the most basic gambling tips, as the more advanced ones border on strategy and look into one of the most important skills a blackjack player must have. Any good blackjack player knows how to count the cards to figure out when to bet high and when to simply wait and throw in the small bets. Selecting a card counting system is as easy as looking for one that you are comfortable with.
