DDAS In Blackjack
The term DDAS in Blackjack is defined as Doubling Down After Split. This is an often used technique that is available for players in a Blackjack game.
What DDAS means is that when you break out from a pair and receive a hit for it which just adds to the total for doubling the situation. With the Doubling Down After Split rule you will be able to put another bet equal to your first bet and make your stakes twice the split.
DDAS can help you improve your chances but in the long run, you have to be on your own and improve with your own techniques. Usually a very skilled Blackjack Player can even reduce the casino's advantage against him in a particular game. Knowing when to split is the key.
For example, let's say that you are dealt a pair of sixes and the dealer has three showing. The simple strategy will tell you to halve your sixes because when you do that you will get a five to the first six of the cards and that will make the total to 11. Usually, in the first deal, the player will have a double holding an 11 compared to the three that the dealer is holding. If you are also playing in a casino that has DDAS, you would also double your 6 and 5 combination against the dealer.
The Doubling Down After Split is a good technique which gives the player the option to expand their horizons and take advantage of the situation. There is the opportunity to double your winnings but be careful as there is also a chance to double your losses.
When a Blackjack player is splitting, in most situations, the dealer will have an upcard and when a good chance becomes available for the doubling action, the player will just have to get as much cash as possible of the situation. If the DDAS is allowed in the game, the player can split his pairs more frequently because DDAS will have an effect on the simple strategic decisions with splitting card pairs.
With the DDAS Strategy, the player can split the 2's and 3's when the casino dealer is showing the upcards 2 and 7. Because the DDAS alters even the basic strategy, it is suggested that all players learn it so that they can apply it in an advantageous situation.
Players also have to know on whether the casino that they are playing in offers DDAS so the player can make their adjustments. DDAS is guaranteed to make your Blackjack experience more memorable and quite possibly more profitable.
